How to Work Without Stress

There are two ways to achieve the desired result:

The first alternative is to improve working conditions (changing the environment - externality)

This can be done in several ways:

This is the path through external change - perfectly adequate.

However, it is not always possible to manifest external change "instantly" in reality.

It requires some external process that takes time.

And that's where the second way of working without stress comes in: Changing yourself.

Changing yourself is changing what you believe.

Changing how the situation is perceived.

All suffering is derived from resistance.

We resist reality and therefore we suffer.

We resist because we have beliefs about what reality is.

We have beliefs about what our work is. We may believe that work is only a way to make money. Or we can see work as a way to better relate to ourselves.

In general, we are afraid of losing control. Fear of taking risks. And fear of truly accepting things as they are. Because this makes us more responsible and we prefer to have someone to blame.

Sometimes, we believe that this would make us less capable of changing our reality, that we need stress to some extent to promote change. We need the "pressure".

What's funny is that precisely the opposite is true. Accepting ourselves, completely, and our current situation makes us even more capable.

Accepting, in this context, would be identifying which belief you have about the work situation that is making you suffer. By truly accepting this, you understand the situation and work better with it, creating the possibility of true change.

The root of the problem is to really identify what this belief is, you need to be true to yourself. It's not always easy, but with patience it's possible.

When you identify the belief that is making you suffer and fully accept it, it gradually dissolves in your heart.

Practice this constantly. Whenever a negative feeling arises, seek to perceive it as quickly as possible, during its beginning, and identify what is the true cause of suffering.

Understand the cause and let it go. It's rarely what it seems and that's why it's so complicated.

But, like everything, with practice we become better.
